I was a little skeptical about a third-party/remanufactured cartridge, but decided the savings was worth a try. So far so good. The cartridge was very well packaged and installed fine. Laser prints look good, so the only things I can't attest to at this point are the number of prints I'll get and long-term quality. But I have no reason to doubt yet.

While laser printers are way cheaper per page than inkjets, it still costs a large chunk at one time to replace toner cartridges and drum units. Previously I had tried a 3rd-party drum unit from another vender with disastrous results. But I wanted to try again, this time with toner. So I hit the internet and did research. I found several good things out about 3rd party toner. One was that with the introduction of superior inks and toners, the quality of 3rd-party products has come into line with their OEM counterparts. More importantly, using re-manufactured cartridges or ones that use some recycled parts is good for the environment because it means less waste. BUT, that all sounds good and fine though if it doesn't work... I'm a writer by profession and I depend on my laser printer to produce finished works at a professional standard to be submitted to editors and agents, so it has to work and work well. In the end I decided to pull the trigger and buy TonerPals' product; I mean, it was half the price of the OEM part. Well, since I got it I have printed at least a hundred pages and THE QUALITY IS VIRTUALLY INDISTINGUISHABLE FROM THE OEM PART! TonerPals has earned themselves a lifelong customer; I won't be going back to paying full price for toner so long as they are around.
